How does the Kiosk Early Check-In work?
The Kiosk allows guests to check in earlier than your standard hotel check-in time. This article explains how the feature works.
Introduction to the Kiosk Early Check-in Feature
As we continue to enhance the system, we have released a new option that allows guests checking in via the Kiosk to arrive earlier than your standard hotel check-in time.
When a guest starts the check-in process at the Kiosk before the regular check-in time, the system automatically scans your inventory to identify a suitable room that is already cleaned, inspected, and ready to be occupied.
If an eligible room is available, the guest will see an early check-in option clearly displayed on the Kiosk screen. The system then presents the applicable early check-in fee based on your predefined price and rules. This can be a fixed fee or a free Early Check-in (by default the free check-in is applicable 90 minutes before the standard check-in time).
The guest can review the conditions and fee on-screen and decide whether to accept or decline. Once the guest gives their consent to continue, the system automatically:

Allocates the selected room to the reservation,

Updates the reservation details with the new check-in time,

Adds the early check-in fee to the total reservation value,

Triggers the required payment flow at the Kiosk.
The guest then pays the updated amount on the spot using the available payment methods, and the reservation status and folio are updated in real time in your PMS. This ensures that your team always has an accurate overview of arrivals, room assignments, and revenue, without any manual adjustments.
The Workflow
Kiosk Process - Early Check-In Conditions

Guest has passed the first Kiosk step (has found the booking, filled-in guest data and pressed “continue“).
- The system confirms the Early Check-in toggle is active in Marketplace and the Early Check-in product is selected.
Room Availability & Reallocation
- The system checks if the allocated room is clean and empty.
- If unavailable, the system searches for an identical, clean room type.
- If needed, the system switches allocations with an unlocked (no Do Not Move status), eligible booking.
- If no clean rooms or swaps exist, guest is directed to the receptionist ("Please visit the receptionist").
Guest Offer & Pricing
- Check in before the configured "Early Check-in' start time (set in Marketplace):
- The Kiosk will not offer early check-in and will instead display an "Unavailable" message.
- Check-in between "Early" and "Free" times (set-up on Marketplace):
- The kiosk offers paid check-in with a fee. The message shown is:
“You can check into your room from [check-in time]. If you wish, we can make a room available for you to check-in right now. A fee of [price] will apply. Would you like to check-in early?“
- The kiosk offers paid check-in with a fee. The message shown is:

Check-in between the configured 'Free' and 'Standard' check-in times:

The Kiosk offers complimentary early check-in and displays the following message to the guest:
“Our check-in time starts from {check-in time}. However, your room is ready and you can check in right now, free of charge!”

- They are directed to the receptionist with the displayed text:
"Please visit receptionist"

Finalisation & Check-in
- Locks the assigned room for the duration of the check-in session.
- Automatically adds the product fee to the booking if paid check-in was chosen.
- Moves to the upselling or summary page.
- Adds an “Early check-in” item to each room included in the current check-in session.
The guest will pay the outstanding balance and proceeds with the check in.
