How to Create a New User in Noovy

Follow these steps to create a new user for your venue and assign the appropriate permissions based on their role in operational tasks within the Noovy system:

  • Navigate to Settings > Profiles
    In this section, you'll see a list of all users from your venues (Hotels) within your account.

  • Click on "+ New Agent"
    This will allow you to create a new user.

  • Fill in the "New Agent" Form
    A window will slide in to complete the fields for setting up the new user's profile.
    (Mandatory fields are marked with a red asterisk "*".)

    • Agent Name: Enter the name for the new user.
    • Password and Repeat Password: Set a temporary password for the user. When they log in for the first time, they will have the option to change this to a personal password.
    • Email: Provide the user’s email address. Noovy will use this for various system notifications if the user is set up to receive them.
    • Send E-mails: If the user is set up to receive emails, you can decide here whether the system sends notifications to the user's email, the account's email, or both.

    • Language: Set the default language for the user’s interface. The user can change this at any time from the main menu, just below their profile.

    • Access Level: Define whether the user should have access to operational hotel functions only, or if they need IT-administration rights (for developer settings).
    • Role Types: Select whether to choose a role from your CUSTOM roles created for your venue or from Noovy's DEFAULT roles portfolio.
    • Role: Choose the specific role for the new user to determine their access to functions within Noovy, based on the portfolio of roles you selected in "Role Types.
    • Default Venue: Set the default venue to display immediately after the user logs in.
  • Click Save
    Once all fields are completed, click "Save" to finalize the creation of the new user. (Make sure to provide the new user with their Account Name, Agent Name, and the temporary Password. Upon their first login, they will be prompted to change the password to something personal.

By following these steps, you'll successfully create a new user and assign them the appropriate access within Noovy.
