Mastering the Nationality Report: Unlocking Guest Demographics and Stay Insights
Accessing the Nationality Report:
To access the Nationality Report, navigate to the Menu Bar and select the 'Reports' section, then locate and click on the 'Nationality Report' option. Upon selection, a table will be presented, providing comprehensive data as follows:
- The report showcases booking data based on stay dates, allowing you to filter by arrival/departure dates as needed.
- Nationality information is sourced from guest profiles; in cases where nationality is unknown, the hotel country (in this instance, the Netherlands) is utilized.
- 'People Nights' represents the total count of adults and children staying during the specified period.
For example, if two adults stayed for two nights in one room, it would be recorded as four People Nights (2 adults x 2 nights). - 'Nights' denotes the total number of room nights occupied during the specified period.
Using the same example, if two adults stayed for two nights in one room, it would be counted as two nights. - 'Arrivals' indicate the number of guests who checked in during the selected period.
Following the previous example, if two adults stayed for two nights and checked in during the period, it would be recorded as two Arrivals. - 'Departures' represent the number of guests who checked out during the selected period, similar to Arrivals but for check-outs.
Guests checking out after the specified period will not be included in this count
Furthermore, by clicking on the chart illustration button, you can visualize the same report data in graphical form.
On the right-hand side, you'll find the date picker, enabling the selection of your desired date range, alongside the export button for obtaining a physical copy. Additionally, there's a Filter button allowing you to refine the report by specifying arrival and departure dates per nationality.
"Lastly, at the bottom of this report, you'll find the total number of individuals who stayed within the selected date range, categorized by nationality.
