How to take a payment?

Charge a reservation with quick click charge button

Charging a guest's credit card with Noovy is a simple process. Depending on the reservation type, the guest may have booked a non-refundable stay or may be subject to a late cancellation or no-show fee. The hotel can conveniently collect payment using the Stripe integrated quick charge button, provided the credit card information is valid.

To charge a credit card for a reservation, please follow the steps below:

  1. Open the reservation in question. (see article:  "How can I search for a booking?")
  2. Navigate to the Billing section on the reservation page.
  3. Click the "Charge" button, which will display a dropdown menu.


  4. Select the Payment Gateway option, which will open a new window.


  5. Expand the dropdown menu to view all available options for charging or authorizing the credit card on file. If there are multiple sales orders that require payment, select the "Charge" action associated with the relevant sales order.

  6. Finally, click the "Charge" button to complete the transaction.

Upon successful completion of the transaction, the system will automatically generate a payment document for the reservation.

However, if the transaction is declined, a message will appear with the reason for payment failure. For example, the message might state that there are insufficient funds in the credit card.
