This guide details how to create or modify a rate plan with a Flexible Cancellation Policy in Noovy. It outlines steps to configure refundable periods, penalties, and apply policies to specific rate plans and room types.
- Access Rate Plans
- Navigate to Settings > Rate Plans in the left-hand panel.
- Create a New Rate Plan or Modify an Existing One
- To Create a New Rate Plan: Click +New Rate in the upper-left corner of the Rate Plans page to open the configuration panel. Set up the rate plan as needed (refer to the rate plan creation guide for details).
- To Modify an Existing Rate Plan: Locate the rate plan you want to edit and click the Edit button next to it.
- Locate the Flexible Cancellation Policy Option
- At the bottom of the rate plan configuration panel you will find the Flexible Cancellation Policy button.

- Configure the Flexible Cancellation Policy
- Access the Policy Section: Click the Flexible Cancellation Policy button to open a section where you can select the rate plans and room types to which the policy will apply. Multiple rate plans and room types can be chosen and combined.
- Create or Manage Policies:
- +New Cancellation Policy: Initiates a new policy. A new window opens with two default periods: Check-in Date and Booking Date. Additional periods can be added as needed.
- Manage Cancellation Policies: Allows editing or managing existing cancellation policies.
- Define Periods and Penalties:
- Each period can be set as Fully Refundable, Partially Refundable, or Non-Refundable.
- For Check-in Date and Booking Date periods, specify the penalty amount and type (e.g., Nights, Amount, or Percent).
- For additional periods, configure:
- Days Before Check-in: Set the number of days prior to check-in.
- Amount: Define the penalty amount.
- Type of Penalty: Choose between Nights, Amount, or Percent.
- Example: Flexible Cancellation Policy
- To create a policy where a booking is:
- Fully Refundable until 2 days before check-in,
- Partially Refundable (20% penalty) within 2 days of check-in,
- Non-Refundable on the check-in day:
- Add a period for Fully Refundable up to 2 days before check-in.
- Add a period for Partially Refundable within 2 days, setting a 20% penalty.
- Set the Check-in Date period as Non-Refundable.
Note: If a booking is made within 2 days of check-in or on the check-in day, the Booking Date period in this Flexible Cancellation Policy will be overridden by the applicable Partially Refundable or Non-Refundable period settings.
- To create a policy where a booking is:
- Save and Manage Policies
- Save the Policy: After configuring the periods and penalties, click Save to apply the cancellation policy to the selected rate plans and room types.
- Manage Multiple Policies: Create as many cancellation policies as needed. Policies can be applied or removed from rate plans and room types based on your requirements.
