How do I change a roomtype in an existing reservation?

There are several reasons to change a room in a reservation; Upselling to a higher category, or because the allocated room is not yet cleaned, or simply upon requests of the guest.

Changing rooms in Noovy can be achieved prior the check-in of the concerning booking via the booking itself or via the Room Calendar.

 

Changing room in the booking itself:

  1. Search for the booking you would like to change the room for (see article "How can I search a booking")
  2. Enter the booking and go to the "allocation" section, then click on the view button (eye symbol)More change room
  3. In the pop-up screen, click on Change Room.Change room
  4. Click on Choose a New Room

Room change

  1. Click on Apply if you wish to not keep the same rates (current rates) for the new room:
  2. Choose New Rates if you would like to set the rates that are applicable to the new chosen room type. The new daily rates are shown in the top righthand corner
  3. Choose Additional fixed amount if you would like to add a certain amount to the current daily rate 
  4. Hit Save when you are done, the room will be changed. Mind you, you will still have to allocate the room number, see article "How do I allocate a room ?"

Changing room via the Room Calendar:

In Noovy the Room Calendar offers a new feature: drag and drop the reservation from one room type to another.

  • Click on the reservation that you would like to drag (mind you, only NOT checked in reservations can be dragged). Press and hold your right mouse button to do so.
  • Drag the reservation to the desired room number (even if this is another room type)
  • Noovy will ask you if you want to change the room. Click Submit if you are sure. (Click Cancel to abort the action)
  • You will now have to decide what to do with the rate (current/ new/ fixed additional amount) See above steps 5, 6 and 7 of this article
  • Hit Save and your room change has successfully been executed
