How do I read the Rate Calendar?

This manual is showing all the aspects of the rate calendar. It gives you an insight per facet.

To open the Rate Calendar go to the menu on the left side of your Noovy screen and select Rates

1 - Channels 

Mind you: 

The Default rateplan will always amend all rateplans, including all rateplans for a specific channel. It is therefore desirable to only choose Default rateplan unless you only wish to update for a specific channel: 

Choose  for which channel you would like to update prices, availability and/or restrictions. All rateplans applicable to that channel will be shown. 

Important Note:

Rates and availability that have been updated for specific channels will NOT be updated in the period that the changes were made when updated in the future by Default Rateplan!

2 - All Roomtypes

 Choose if you would like to see all room types, or just a few.

3 - All Rateplans 

Choose for what Rate Plan you would like to change rates or availability. Again Important Note:

Rates and availability will preferably have to be updated via the Default Rateplan, as this is the ‘Mother Rateplan’ that will automatically amend all other affected rateplans proportionally according to the set up of the Rateplans. Each client has been setting this up with our onboarding team as they desired. 

Rates and availability that have been updated for specific rateplans will NOT be updated in the period that the changes were made when updated in the future by Default Rateplan!

4 - Date selection

 Select the period you would like to see. 

5 - Calendar

In this Calendar will be shown what your settings were in step 1,2,3 and 4.

6 - Restrictions 

When the box in front of Restrictions is ticked, you will see if and what restrictions were made.

7 - Bulkupdate

Planner Calendar View

A closer look at all the facets of the calendar via the Calendar View:

1 - See Rates - Displays the rates on the Calendar.

2 - Collapse - Will show availability and remove rates.

3 - Dates - Day of the week, date and month.

4 - Roomtype - Shows the Roomtype

5 - Availability - Shows the availability of the room type per day.

6 - Rateplans - Shows all rateplans applicable to the roomtype.

7 - Rates - Shows rates in the calendar for the rateplan you are viewing.

By clicking on the little arrow, the field will unfold and show you the availability for that same rateplan. 

 

8 - Clock - Shows when this rateplan is affected by another rateplan:

9 - Rates - Shows the current prices for that ratepan for that particular room.

*Mind you: 

The rates entered are in general always Room Only and should always be calculated without meals, even when you are amending rates for BB. 

If the set up for this rate plan is inclusive breakfast, you should enter the total rate of Room + breakfast. 

** Rates are red when there is no availability for that date, rate plan and room type. 

10 - See More Rates - Viewing more rate plans for this room type.

 

Monthly View - Change rates and or availability for a specific date

1. Room type - The room type you are about to amend the rates and or availability for. 
2. Rate plan - The Rate plan you would like to change for this room type, for the date you select. (Reminder: in general it is best to choose Default Rate plan!)
3. Get statistics per month - View the statistics for Turn over, occupancy and average daily rates.
4. Bulk Update - Change rates and or availability for multiple dates, room types and rate plans all in one go. View THIS ARTICLE to learn more about this feature.
5. Year - You can choose the year for the amendments you are about to make, Noovy allows you to adjust 2 years in advance.
6. Month - Choose the month in which you want to make the changes.
7. Day - Choose the day of the week for which you would like to make the changes. Click on a specific day of the week and the block underneath will be selected:

 

8 - Dates in the past - The dates that are in the past can not be changed and the logs /history will be removed. These fields are blurred as they are no longer active.

9 - Availability - Shows you how many rooms are on sale at that moment. When moving your cursor on it, it will show you the actual available rooms.

10 - Occupancy - the lower this percentage the more rooms available.

11 - Price - As is currently on sale for.

12 - Date  

Logs:

Moving your cursor on the rate will result in displaying the logs/history of the amendments.
