Permissions control who can perform specific actions and can only be set up or modified by users with a manager role.
You can manage user access in Noovy either by changing an individual user’s role or by editing the permissions assigned to a shared role.
Changing Individual User Role
- Navigate to the Menu Bar , click on Profiles and the Users tab:
- Go to the Filter to search the user you would like to change permissions for:
- In the filter enter either the User ID, If known, or the User name to be able to find the user:
- User ID – Unique personal ID for the user.
- Name – User's personal name.
- Role – Search merely on Role to view all users that are using this role.
- On/Off Toggle – If disabled users are not desired on the list of searched users, switch toggle OFF.

📝Note:
The concerning user where the role was changed for will need to log out and log in again to be able to experience the new assigned role.
Editing the permissions assigned to a shared (custom) role
📝Note:
Changing permissions to a specific Role means that all users in this role will experience new permissions.
⚠️Default Roles can not be edited, these are fixed roles created by Noovy.
You can always create your own custom role. Check out this article if you do not know how:
-
Go to Menu Bar > Settings > Permissions:
-
Click the eye icon next to the role you wish to edit.
-
In the pop-up that appears there are categories which you can open by clicking on the arrow down:
- Clicking on the arrow down on one of the categories will give you all the permissions of that specific category. Toggle on or off to change the desired permission for that role:
- Hit SAVE when you have changed the desired permission(s).
