Communication is the key to success in any hotel. Hotel guest experience starts with good communication, both externally and internally. Providing necessary information about any aspect of a booking, or the concerning guest, is essential.
You can add comments to a booking in Noovy in two ways:
-
By clicking the ‘view’ (eye icon) from the booking list
-
Or by opening the booking directly using the booking number
In the example below, we’re using the second option — opening the booking via the booking number.
Two Types of Notes
When you open a booking, you’ll find two types of comments:
-
Remarks:
These are added during the booking process. For example, if an Online Travel Agency (OTA) includes details like a Virtual Credit Card (VCC), or if the guest shares specific comments during booking — you’ll find those under Remarks. -
Notes:
These are for internal use only. Think: why a specific room was assigned, guest preferences, payment updates, or anything else the team should know.
📌 Good to know: Guests will not see these notes.
How to Add a Note
Click ‘Create new +’ to add a new note. A pop-up will appear where you can choose the type of note:
-
General – For any team member to see
-
Food and Beverage – For kitchen/bar/breakfast staff (e.g. allergies, dietary notes)
-
Housekeeping – For the housekeeping team (e.g. cleaning requests, extra towels)
In the comment section, type the message you want to pass on.
You can also apply a tag in the tag field — these are especially useful if you want to filter or organize your notes later. (More on how to use tags in another article.)
