User permission to Issue Keycards for Noovy Locks
Which permission allows to issue keycards or acces codes?
If your hotel uses Noovy Locks, guests can open their room with either a keycard or an access code. To create keycards or access codes, users need the relevant permission. These permissions are already enabled for the default roles in the system. If your hotel has created its own user roles, you’ll need to enable these permissions for those roles yourself.
Only users with the Manager role can assign permissions.
There are two permissions you can enable for creating keycards or codes:
-
Issue keycards in-house: allows the user to create or copy keycards for guests staying in the room concerned. This permission also covers remote unlocking and viewing the list, status and history of the locks.
-
Issue keycards not in-house: allows the user to create staff keys, which give employees access to a room at any time, even when no guest is staying there. Users who should not create keycards for guests, such as the housekeeping manager, should only be given this permission. This permission also covers remote unlocking and viewing the list, status and history of the locks.
- In the Main Menu, open the Permissions tab, then click the eye icon in the role you want to grant Noovy Locks access:

- Open the section Settings:

- Scroll down and switch on the applicable toggle :
- Hit SAVE afterwards and users with the role you have edited will be able to issue keycards/codes immediately after. The user might need to log out and log in again in Noovy.
